Promising 720 drums on 720 seats, the South African “interactive drum-theater experience” returns to Japan following its highly rated 2008 debut. Drumstruck began life a decade ago as a corporate motivational show before arriving as a full-scale stage production in 2002. The brainchild of Johannesburg entrepreneur Warren Lieberman, the show sees a team of African percussionists and dancers lead the audience on a participatory romp through the continent’s drumming traditions.
