A woman is hit by a meteorite, quickly grows to 49 feet, 11 inches tall, and is immediately snatched by a secret federal agency and incarcerated among several other misfit creatures derived from classic ’50s monster movies—The Blob, Creature from the Black Lagoon, etc. Even Mothra. But when a giant robot comes to conquer Earth, she and her pals must save the planet. Frenetic rather than funny, and lacking in all but the most basic character development, this babysitting movie is aimed squarely at little kids who have seen Monsters, Inc. 300 or 400 times. Parents might even like it the first half-dozen times.
