The Other Side of the Door

Hindu Gothic

A woman whose young son has tragically died learns of an ancient Indian temple where she can say a last goodbye to his spirit through a door. But she is warned that she must never, ever, open the door lest she upset some kind of mystical life/death balance. If you don’t know what she does, you don’t go to enough movies. Wouldn’t be much of a horror flick if she heeded the warning, now would it? It’s not much of a horror flick anyway, with hapless actors wading through every horror cliché, creepy sound and boo-moment in the book. Not scary, not compelling, not interesting and not recommended. (96 min)
