The J. League will resume its season on Apr 23. The league managed to complete only one round of matches before the massive earthquake that struck Japan on Mar 11. The Nabisco Cup has been converted to a knockout tournament and will start on Jun 5, with the four teams competing in the Asian Champions League getting a bye to the quarterfinals. Kickoff times for many matchups have been changed from evening to daytime games in order to conserve electricity and some teams affected by the earthquake have changed venues.
