Ikebukuro celebrates its 50th anniversary of Fukuro Festival!
The first part of the festival is at the end of September, where 3500 people carry the mikoshi all around Ikebukuro. The latter half of the festival will take place at the beginning at October, where over 100 teams from across the country compete for the best Yosakoi choreography.
Countless yosakoi dance troupes whipping around in vivid costumes and clacking their rhythmic naruko will surely keep you mesmerized throughout the entire festival.
The festival has an opening festival for its festival as well. Let the non-stop festivals begin!
