The Osaka Yodo-River Citizens Marathon is the first marathon in Japan that takes place along a riverbank and where the people of the city have united and organized the event since 1997. This marathon embraces the importance of the environment and allows men and women of all ages to freely enjoy the course. Additionally, this year’s guest is Naoko Takahashi! She is the first woman from Japan to win a gold medal in track and field in the 2000 Sydney Olympics and the first woman to win the 2001 Berlin Marathon with a world record at the time. Come and feel the energy of the citizens of Osaka and run this very unique Eco-race!
