It’s kouyou (fall leaves) season and Showa Kinen Park is hosting its annual Autumn Leaves Festival, celebrating the change of seasons and the beautiful fall colored leaves. The ginkgo and momiji trees are best viewed in mid-November. The park features a stunning 300m pavement lined with orange ginkgo trees. In the Autumn Leaves Festival the park will stay open in the evening, during which time you can enjoy the trees and Japanese garden lit up.

Regular Autumn Leaves Festival opening hours: 9.30am – 4.30pm
Nighttime Autumn Leaves Festival opening hours: 4.30pm – 9pm
Cost: ¥450 for adults, ¥210 for elderly citizens and free for children
¥1,000 for adults, ¥1,000 for elderly citizens and ¥500 for children for the nighttime Autumn Leaves Festival
