Butoh began around 1960 in Japan and spread to Europe, the USA, South America and Asia. It has tremendously influenced many different styles of dance worldwide.
This production was created to commemorate the 30th anniversary of butoh’s founder Hijikata Tatsumi’s death, so that we can pass on and plant his spirits of dance in young students of butoh. Quite intense, this butoh production is guaranteed to stimulate your psyche.
