The Tokyo Photographic Art Museum is displaying the winning images from 59th World Press Photo Contest. See the winning images up close and on display, which have been selected from a huge pool of talent: 82,951 photos taken by 5,775 photographers from 128 different countries. On display are sets of the winning and finalist photos from different photo categories such as Contemporary Issues, Daily Life, Long-Term Projects, Nature and Sports. The World Press Photo Contest promotes photographic storytelling and freedom of expression.
The exhibition runs until October 23 and is on every day except Mondays. Admission costs ￥800 for adults, ￥600 for university/college students, and ￥400 for seniors (65+), high school and junior high school students.
