Kanda is renown for its 176 used bookstores jumbled across town. One can find anything from antique storybooks, to magazines that have ceased publication. Over a million books will be on sale during this massive book-heaven for bookworms.
Books from every genre imaginable will be at the book festival, so don’t worry if you can’t read Japanese — many bookstores also handle English and books in other languages.
Don’t miss out on this special event, especially the long “Hall of Books”; Yasukuni Street will transform into a hallway walled with bookstores and bookshelves.
There will also be charity auctions and exhibition sales of antique specialties that should belong to museums.
So head on out to Kanda for this one-of-a-kind festival for treasures buried amongst the one million publications on sale.
