Course Description

Globally, podcasting has exploded over the past couple of years and shows no sign of slowing down. However, in Japan, podcasting is still a fledgling industry representing enormous potential for growth. Podcasts can provide a creative outlet, an opportunity to meet and discuss ideas with a range of interesting guests, a means of building your profile showcasing your expertise in a particular field, or just a chance to have fun while exploring topics of interest. This workshop helps participants get started in podcasting and accelerate the learning curve much more than possible by “learning as you go”. The workshop covers selection of software and equipment, choosing a format, planning, recording, editing, producing, marketing, and finally launching your podcast. By the end, you will walk away with a plan in hand for getting started.

Learning Objectives

1. Identify your goals and the theme of the podcast
2. Understand the concepts and basic technical requirements needed to create your own podcast, including recording, editing and uploading
3. Develop a plan for launching, marketing and sustaining your podcast

Who Should Take This Course
