“Gala”, the latest work of esteemed choreographer Jérôme Bel, will land in Saitama in January, after an international tour of over 50 countries. Bel has been captivating audiences with this fun and colourful look at how everyday people use dance to both feel free from, and connect with, society.
The show features a motley crew of twenty local performers, taken from a wide range of age, sex and, most importantly, dance experience. It might just be the first show you watch where you have the same skills as the performer. The idea aims to highlight the universal powers of dance and explore the ways we coexist in modern society.
“Gala” runs for two performances over the 20th and 21st of January, starting at 3 pm.
Online advance tickets are ¥4,000 Adult, ¥3,000 Student, follow the link for more details.
