If the Sumida River Fireworks Festival is the highlight of July, the Jingu Gaien Fireworks festival is the highlight of August. Spectators will pack the streets of Harajuku and Aoyama in droves hoping to catch a good view. If you want to avoid the fray, you can also watch from one of the sports stadiums to the south of Sendagaya Station, though seats prices range from ¥3,000 to ¥7,000. The stadium seats also include a line-up of J-pop performances as the opening act before the fireworks spectacle gets going.
