The JMEC Alumni Association is pleased to invite you to the next JMEC WIRED Night onFebruary 16th!
MEC WIRED nights are informal social events held at various venues around Tokyo. They bring together JMEC alumni and other people in the JMEC network—for an informal evening where you can hear a brief talk by JMEC alumni or other speaker, enjoy food and drinks, meet new and old friends—and have fun!
This time the featured speaker is Todd Stevens, JMEC 16 alumnus, entrepreneur and founder of craft beer importer Beer Cats. Theevent is held at Todd’s newly opened ‘state-of-the-art’ craft beer taproom and bar—Titans! Just a 30-second walk from JR Otsuka Station, Yamanote Line.
Todd is the very definition of a JMEC entrepreneur, having arrived in Japan on a one-way air ticket in 2000. For a number of years he worked at Orca International, Japan’s leading importer of fine Washington and Oregon wines, before setting upBeer Cats in 2013—an importer of premium craft beers from Seattle and other selected regions.
He will give us a short talk on “Taking The First Step“—in which he will talk about achieving your personal dreams and goals, what it takes to start a business, and the mental challenges that follow.
