Time has come for Sanrio’s beloved Rilakkuma‘s slightly smaller and slightly paler friend Korilakkuma to get some attention. Not very surprising located in the Tokyo area of cuteness Harajuku, “Korilakkuma Cafe: Inside the Mirror” combine the softness of bear plushies and software technology system. Developed by SONY an “interactive tabletop projection mapping” invite customers to play games during their meal as the characters walk around their plates and tables. The theme is “Korilakkuma inside a mirror,” which sees Korilakkuma meeting another Korilakkuma inside the mirror of a fantasy world.
The tables are available for two people at the time, and the food menu offers course menus for sharing only. Courses include appetizer, main dish and dessert. Classics as Japanese omuraisu, chicken mushroom pasta and the limited time twin Korilakkuma burger (until January 19) serves as main dishes while chocolate fondue, pancake and crème Brûlée compete of the guests eyes and tastebuds. Except for treating themselves with kawaii, adorable food and drinks, customers will have the opportunity to purchase merchandise with original art illustrated exclusively for the cafe.
