Kuniyoshi was a beloved illustrator in Japan from the 1800s. Many of his pictures can be seen at this exhibit, which includes Kuniyoshi’s famous warriors and brave hero figures. Additionally, you can see his images of landscapes, caricatures, and beautiful women. This exhibition exhibits almost all pictures from “One Hundred and Eight Heroes from Tales of the Water Margin”, which was a popular series of illustrations featuring warrior figures based on a Chinese novel. It was so popular that people began to request tattoos of the warrior illustrations.
The exhibition runs until the end of October with the works changing once on October 1. Open daily except Mondays, but check their website for changes due to holidays.
