Pablo Picasso (1881–1973) is recognized as one of the greatest painters of the 20th century. The astonishing creativity and innovation with which he infused his art continue to fascinate viewers to this day. This exhibition will focus on a handpicked selection of prints from the Israel Museum, Jerusalem’s vast Picasso collection, but will also showcase paintings, drawings, and photographs from the collection. Through this extensive series of works, dating from the turn of the 20th century to 1970, viewers will be able to examine the sources of Picasso’s creative inspiration and trace his shifts in artistic style, experiments in technique, and evolving motifs.
