The Megumi Ogita Gallery will be hosting Taiwanese artist Chen Dao Lee’s latest exhibition “Sleepless in Tokyo.” This exhibition focuses on motifs familiar for the Japanese, such as a series that depicts a female friend of Lee’s from the viewpoint of Balthus (1908 -2001). Another work of art includes a mask series that depicts faces of Japanese celebrities who are significant for him to understand Japan. As the exhibition title “Sleepless in Tokyo” indicates, his works show his impression of an intriguing Tokyo, which features completely different sides from day and night. Make sure to make your way down to Ginza to catch glimpses of these Japanese inspired works of art.
This venue is closed on Sundays, Mondays and public holidays.
