Special Olympics Cheer Volunteering

Hands On Tokyo is a non-profit organization dedicated to making meaningful contributions to local communities in Tokyo. All of their volunteer activities are accessible to both Japanese and English speakers and they host a variety of events where you have the chance to make a change!
This April, they are holding a “Competitive Cheerleading” Program with Special Olympics Athletes! This program is fun and easy to participate in, even if you have no previous dance or cheerleading experience.
The Competitive Cheer event was started as a part of the ‘Unified Sports’ program in the Special Olympics. This program was a unique initiative created by the Special Olympics where athletes with intellectual disabilities and volunteers become teammates, coming together to enjoy collaborative sports!
