It’s released four studio albums and various EPs and singles over the years and experimented with blending psychedelia, classic pop and indie rock. Hailing from Japan, Coaltar of the Deepers are an alternative rock band influenced by shoegaze, post-rock, thrash metal, electronica and bossa nova. Aside from their own album and EP releases, they are also known for their covers of various major artists, including The Cure, The Primitives, Prince and My Bloody Valentine.
