Head over to Tokyo’s Arts Chiyoda for a rare chance to see the spectacular original artwork of Takeshi Obata, the legendary artist behind smash-hit manga series including Hikaru no Go, Death Note, and Bakuman. Organized by publisher Shueisha to celebrate 30 years since Obata made his debut in much-loved magazine Weekly Shonen Jump with the series Cyborg Jii-chan G, the exhibition gathers around 500 pieces from the artist’s extensive personal archive. The title, “Takeshi Obata – Never Complete,” is a nod to the questing perfectionism that this unique talent constantly brings to his creations.
Open late until 8pm July 14 and August 11.
