The Future Eternal – a special exhibition for DESIGNART TOKYO

Oct 21, 2022 at 11:00am ~ Oct 29, 2022 at 6:00pm

A Lighthouse called Kanata is pleased to present the group exhibition The Future Eternal, featuring approx. 20 young artists who represent a new wave in contemporary Japanese aesthetics.

Over the course of the past several years, it can be said that the younger artists of Kanata have increasingly risen to prominence, their presence visibly taking over our stands at art fairs the world over. But it is not the quantity of these artists that is striking, but the quality with which they create.

From ceramics to glass, painting, metal and bamboo, these artists embody a wealth of possibilities that are only beginning to emerge. And to foster these talents, a gallery like Kanata must continue to grow and define our day and age by exhibiting the very best talent that Japan has to offer. These artists continue to push the boundaries of their respective mediums to new heights. And it is the repetition of innovation that one day becomes tradition. In other words, the future begins before our very eyes. The future, eternal, today.
