The National Galleries of Scotland is a sophisticated and richly presented gallery that holds one of the most famous western art collections in the world. This exhibition “THE GREATS – Masterpieces of the National Galleries of Scotland” will showcase the masterpieces that the gallery proudly owns, including Raphael, El Greco, Velázquez, Rembrandt, Boucher, Seurat and Renoir. The history of western art will be introduced through about 90 works of oil paintings, watercolor paintings and sketches. This will be the first opportunity to appreciate some of the masterpieces, such as “An Old Woman Cooking Eggs” by Diego Velázquez, in Japan.
