Tokyo International Players (TIP) is proud to present Spring Awakening, with book and lyrics by Steven Sater and music by Duncan Sheik, based on the play by Frank Wedekind, and directed by Marita Stryker.
The winner of eight Tony Awards (R) including Best Musical, and told through what has been called “the most gorgeous Broadway score this decade,” Spring Awakening explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood with illuminating poignancy and unforgettable passion. The landmark musical is an electrifying fusion of morality, sexuality, and rock and roll that is exhilarating audiences around the world like no other musical in years.
