ABOUT WOVEN
Woven is an annual celebration of a diversity of voices, cultures, and creative work from around the world. The exhibition grew from a shared conviction in the belief that artistic creation and exchange fosters deeper communication, understanding and empathy between members of the global community. Through art, we uniquely express and perceive the cares and values, joys and sorrows, thoughts and ideologies that define our lives. It is through this expression that renders visible and sensible the otherwise unseen fabric of human experience, within which we are interwoven.

Through the lens of 10 different artists around the world, this year’s Woven explores the different shapes of narrative as formed and informed by culture. Through a multitude of mediums, from photography to pyrography to felt sculpture, the world portrayed through these works is sublime, absurd, sometimes scary, and always strange.
