Honeymoon

A microbudget gem with a good script and committed actors

I like a horror movie that can deliver the chills without the gore and violence. Like this little microbudgeted gem from first-timer Leigh Janiak. A couple’s rural honeymoon begins to seem less perfect when the husband (Harry Treadaway) finds his new bride (Rose Leslie) dazed and confused in the forest one midnight. With a little bite on her upper thigh. She begins to act less like herself.

Okay, the “bodysnatcher” thing is a little obvious too early, but the execution is so good that I was enthralled throughout. Shows what can be done with a tiny budget if you have a good script and committed actors. (87 min)
