In this one-note, exposition-heavy Latino Exorcist, legend has it that ages ago the “weeping woman” drowned her children and herself in a jealous rage and has spent the centuries since seeking replacement kids. Now, a social worker (Linda Cardellini) ignores the warnings of a suspected child-abusing mother and causes herself and her own offspring to become La Llorona’s next target. Enter, natch, a disillusioned Catholic priest (Raymond Cruz, way better in “Breaking Bad”). Jeez, it takes some talent to make a horror movie so suspense-free and comprised solely of cheap scares. Yawn. (93 min)
