When the members of the puppet cast of a 90s children’s TV show start getting bumped off one by one, a disgraced puppet PI teams up with a human LAPD cop (Melissa McCarthy, currently shopping for a new agent) to find the killer. This film’s one joke (puppets saying “f**k”) wears out early, yet is repeated throughout. Perhaps the most odious aspect of this cinematic excrescence is that it was made by Brian Henson, son of Jim. Way to tarnish your amazing father’s legacy, you little twerp. If you’re not offended at least once by this sophomoric, joylessly executed “comedy,” I don’t ever want to meet you. (91 min)
