With its compact curves and sleek tempered glass surface, the Withings is a scale for the iPhone generation—complete with iPhone app. After measuring your weight and calculating your BMI, fat and lean mass, the unit transmits the results via WiFi and charts them up in an online application, which is also viewable on your keitai. In other words, your weight obsession can now follow you absolutely everywhere. The app can be used to track up to eight people at a time, meaning that all of the family can join in the fun. Assuming, of course, that “fun” is really the operative word here.
Withings WiFi body scale, ¥17,800. Available from http://covia.net
