Void+eaves hosts the exhibition “POP-UP “ARTIST RUNNING” #8 Joel Kirkham ‘Ground Swell’ by Goya Curtain” and “Tatsuhiko Tomogashi ‘Fahrenheit‘ by 灯明 / Lavender Opener Chair”.
The “POP-UP “ARTIST RUNNING” series has been an ongoing project since 2020, introducing artist-run spaces and projects. This 8th installment features Goya Curtain, who started a non-profit art space in an apartment in Nakameguro, currently located in Shimotakaido. His tatami-matted room provides spatial play to artists from Japan and abroad. Additionally, void+eaves presents Joel Kirkham, director of Curtain and an artist himself. Kirkham’s works include geometric drawings on receipts and paper napkins, as well as previously unreleased assemblage works.
In “Tatsuhiko Tomogashi ‘Fahrenheit’ by 灯明 / Lavender Opener Chair”, Tomogashi presents “ice cream” as edible artwork. Tomogashi, who also cooks at the artist-run restaurant “灯明” (Takashi Nishio) unveils a new piece to match Japan’s climate and materials.
Furthermore, Yu Nozawa’s “Mountain Range” is held concurrently.
