Metropolis Magazine is a part of Japan Partnership Holdings, a multimedia agency providing translation services for over 25 years.

We pride ourselves on having a fast and efficient process for our clients, with high-quality translations that are native and captivating. We assist with translation projects for mediums such as articles, websites, blogs, social media and marketing pamphlets.

Job Description
We are looking to hire professional translators for freelance translator roles to work alongside our editorial and sales team, as well as our clients. Both English-to-Japanese language and Japanese-to-English roles are available.

Your Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely translation of client media.
• Translating all text from English to Japanese and/or vice versa.
• Proofreading final articles ahead of submission.
• Excellent creative writing skills to math the tone and purpose of the material for the client.

Mandatory Requirements: 

• Proficient with proofreading, editing and copywriting.
• Excellent written communication skills who can connect with Japanese and English-speaking clients.
• Degree in Linguistics/Languages, Communications, Multi-media, or Arts & Social Sciences.
• Native or fluent in both Japanese and English.
• Proven work as a Translator, Interpreter or comparative job.
• Experience in Legal, IT and Marketing industries for translation work is a plus.
