The Shibuya Bon Odori festival has been held since 2017, with the aim of bringing together Shibuya residents and visitors. Entry is FREE!

Traffic is restricted on parts of Bunkamura-dori and Dogenzaka, and a tower is erected on the road in front of SHIBUYA 109. Here, people of all ages, genders, and countries join hands in a large circle to enjoy the Bon Odori dance. On the festival day, you can also find stalls offering shooting galleries, super ball scooping games, and food trucks.

The festival features unique Shibuya songs like “Shibuya Ondo,” “Olympic Shibuya Ondo,” and “Yumemiru Shibuya Ondo,” as well as classic tunes such as “Tokyo Ondo,” “Dai Tokyo Ondo,” “Kawachi Otoko Bushi,” and “Tanko Bushi.” Shibuya Bon Odori is the only place where you can experience traditional Bon Odori in a unique setting in front of SHIBUYA 109.
