Canadian and Japanese Wine: A comparison of Terroirs

Feb 22, 2026 at 3:00pm ~ Feb 22, 2026 at 5:00pm

Experience a cross-cultural exploration of flavor at THREE GRAPES with a guided tasting comparing the unique styles of Canadian and Japanese wines. This session delves into how terroir and climate shape the character of five wines from each country, highlighting the distinct artisanal techniques that define these two growing regions.

The 75-minute interactive seminar is conducted in English (with French available on request) and includes expert guidance on wine history, culture, and regional geography. Guests will enjoy high-quality local wines—ranging from Hiroshima’s volcanic soils to Nagano’s mountain valleys—paired with delicate Japanese small plates designed to elevate each pour. This intimate experience is limited to 12 participants and offers an optional 45 minutes of bar time to connect with fellow travelers over extra pours.
