The Tokyo Metropolitan Sports Benefits Corporation invites families to participate in the Disaster Prevention Festa in KOMAZAWA 2025, a unique event where visitors can learn essential emergency preparedness skills in a fun and interactive way. Admission is completely free, making it a great opportunity for both children and adults to gain valuable knowledge while enjoying hands-on activities.

During the event, attendees will have the chance to experience a smoke evacuation drill, which simulates escaping from a fire, and see emergency vehicles on display. Visitors can also try on firefighter and rescue team uniforms, giving them a feel for what it’s like to be a first responder. For those interested in hands-on experiences, there will be a mini fire truck driving session and an AR firefighting simulation, allowing participants to engage with emergency response training in an exciting way.

Beyond the emergency preparedness exercises, the festival will also feature a disaster prevention quiz rally, where the first 300 participants can test their knowledge on safety and emergency response. Additionally, children and adults can join a fire whistle-making workshop, with 50 spots available, or create their own emergency preparedness pouch, which is open to the first 30 visitors.

No festival would be complete without food, and this event will offer a variety of meal options. Visitors can sample disaster food, learning about emergency meal preparation or browse through the Setagaya Marche, where vendors will sell various goods. Additionally, there will be kitchen cars providing delicious food options throughout the event.

The Disaster Prevention Festa in KOMAZAWA 2025 will be held rain or shine, though some activities may be modified or canceled depending on weather conditions or emergency service requirements.
