Commemorating the 1200th Anniversary of the Temple’s Founding

At the Tokyo National Museum, from Wednesday, July 17th to Sunday, September 8th, 2024, we will hold a special exhibition entitled “Jingo-ji Temple – Kukai and the Origins of Esoteric Shingon Buddhism” to commemorate the 1200th anniversary of the temple’s founding.
Ahead of the exhibition’s opening, we have received messages from singer-songwriter Masashi Sada, who will be appearing as the audio guide navigator, and voice actress Miyuki Sawashiro, who is well known for her role as Kitaro in “GeGeGe no Kitaro”.

We will be introducing various projects that will liven up the exhibition, including collaborative goods between the Jingoji Exhibition and Tezuka Osamu characters, which will be available for purchase at the exhibit, alongside other merchandise.

Buy tickets here! Prices vary between students and general visitors.
