About the Artist: Josephine Rossing
Born in Stockholm, Sweden, Josephine Rossing studied at Halmstad Art School and Domen Art School. Her work has been exhibited in Sweden, France and Tokyo. Currently based in Tokyo, she continues to create evocative paintings that capture the fleeting emotions and moods of landscapes.
Artist’s Statement on Half Made Heaven:
“Through these paintings, I hope to share a range of landscapes—from serene natural settings to layered urban environments—that reflect moments inspired by Tranströmer’s poetry. My aim is to capture not only the scenes we see but also the emotions they stir within us, peeling through the long shadows of winter to glimpse the arrival of spring. I hope these works invite viewers to take a moment, look closely, and find their own meaning in these spaces.”
