Tides of Change: Ocean Conservation Art Exhibition Arrives in Osaka

Feb 08, 2025 at 1:00pm ~ Feb 21, 2025 at 7:00pm

Following the success of its Tokyo debut, PangeaSeed’s groundbreaking group exhibition, Tides of Change, will make waves in Osaka this February. Curated by PangeaSeed and hosted by YOD Gallery, this one-of-a-kind art show features original works from 30 artists representing Japan and the international community, each exploring the contrasts and challenges of ocean conservation.

The Tides of Change exhibition invites visitors to immerse themselves in a visual journey that addresses pressing marine issues, including pollution, overfishing, and habitat destruction while celebrating the solutions and hope for a more sustainable future. This exhibition serves as a fundraiser for PangeaSeed’s initiatives to protect our oceans and foster environmental stewardship through art.

“Our oceans are at a critical tipping point, and art has the power to inspire meaningful action,” said Tré Packard, founder and executive director of PangeaSeed. “We’re thrilled to bring Tides of Change to Osaka, a city with deep cultural ties to the ocean, and to spotlight
30 incredible artists who are using their talents to highlight these vital issues. Through this
exhibition, we hope to spark conversation, connection, and ultimately, solutions.”

The featured artists hail from countries such as Japan, Brazil, the United States, New
Zealand, and South Africa, among others. Each piece in the exhibition is an original work
created exclusively for Tides of Change. Artworks will be available for purchase through
YOD Gallery and via PangeaSeed’s online shop.
