Discover the pivotal role of women in peacebuilding and delve into ways to amplify their opportunities to participate and contribute to more long-lasting peace on all levels with our expert guest speakers.

Our esteemed guest speakers include Yonamine Ryoko, the WPS expert from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Matsuzawa Tomoko, the WPS expert from the Japanese Ministry of Defense; Ai Kihara-Hunt, the Director of the Research Centre for Sustainable Peace; and Motoyama Hisako, Project Research Fellow at the Institute of Gender Studies at Ochanomizu University.

Additionally, we are honored to have Olivier Ammour-Mayeur, the Director of the Centre of Gender Studies, who will facilitate a panel discussion on the intersectionality of gender and peacebuilding. This panel will also feature two dedicated graduate students from Waseda University.

This workshop represents an invaluable opportunity for knowledge exchange, bringing together experts, graduate/PhD students, and passionate attendees to engage in substantive discussions on strategies aimed at strengthening women’s participation in peacebuilding processes.
