The College Women’s Association of Japan’s 56th Annual Print Show brings together 192 hanga woodblock prints by 192 artists for an earthquake and scholarship fundraising show at the Tokyo American Club. Among them are seasoned figures such as renowned 20th century abstract print maker Hideo Hagiwara as well as emerging artists. The College Women’s Association of Japan is a non-profit volunteer organization of women working in education and cross-cultural exchange. Founded in 1949 by a group of six women to help Japanese students study abroad, it now has members from over 30 countries.
