A Textile Exhibition through Touch: “Ark of Textile”
May 02, 2026 at 1:00pm ~ May 31, 2026 at 7:00pm
Textile creator Madoka Oshikane presents her solo exhibition, “Ark of Textile.”
This exhibition invites visitors to experience textiles not only visually, but also through touch and bodily perception. Original textiles inspired by traditional dyeing and weaving cultures from across Japan will gently unfold throughout the exhibition space.
Textiles are among the most familiar materials in our daily lives. By focusing on texture and tactile sensation, the exhibition encourages visitors to rediscover subtle sensory experiences often overlooked in everyday routines.
Like cupping one’ s hands to gather water, small everyday gestures contain a sense of comfort and quietness. The exhibition offers a calm, immersive environment where visitors can reconnect with these gentle sensations and enjoy a slow, contemplative moment.
Visitors are invited to walk freely through the space and experience the textiles up close.
