Asuka Irie Exhibition 2026―Moonlight and Drowsiness

Apr 22, 2026 at 10:30am ~ May 06, 2026 at 7:00pm

Step into the artistic world of Asuka Irie (born 1980, Tokyo), an artist renowned for her unique mixed-media expression. Irie, who studied printmaking and was an overseas trainee in Paris, utilizes advanced techniques in multi-color single-plate printing, often incorporating her own prints as collage materials to create a delicate yet powerful body of work.

The “Moon” exhibition features the first public display of her new work, “Dreamlike Confrontation,” a pair of folding screens created as a counterpart to her earlier six-panel screen, “Black Clouds, Demonic Flames, and Dragons.” In total, approximately 60 pieces will be exhibited, encompassing both past representative works and recent new creations.
