Who will grab the crown and become “Japan’s Best DJ” this year? DMC hosts the world’s largest DJ competition since 1990. It has produced many talents who have made their marks on the world stages, including A-Trak, DJ CRAZE, Hudson Mohawke and Cashmere Cat. In recent years, Japan has established itself as one of the dominating countries. In 2019, DJ Matsunaga from Creepy Nuts successfully won the title of world champion. Veterans and young talents alike will battle for the top at the national DMC JAPAN DJ CHAMPIONSHIPS FINAL this year. The winner will advance to the world championships in Paris which takes place in October.

The battles will be complemented by guest showcases from popular artists and previous winners of the tournament. One of them will be DJ WA-TA, who has been a DMC finalist many times. In a captivating rare live performance he will recreate his song “How Many Boogie“. Together with with SKRYU and KTR, he released the song under the producer name “WAZGOGG” and could reach over 17 million views on YouTube.
