Quilting together Socrates’ studies and quotes, Jesse Freeman presents “I am I be” from September 6 to October 4 at the UltraSuperNew Gallery.
Freeman’s love and interest in Japanese literature are reflected in this exciting exhibit as it blends with philosophical thoughts and discoveries. Taking inspiration from Jean-Michael Basquiat‘s “Riding with Death” and Abe Kobo’s novel “The Box Man”, ideas of space and disfiguration are explored.
