Gallery COMMON: Rhizomed Material

“What is reality? What does it mean to truly exist?”

This question motivated Tada’s work. His sculptural paintings mimic glitchy collages of three-dimensional everyday items. However, he places an emphasis on their decay on these items, creating a thoughtful piece of artwork that causes us to question the space between virtual and real.

MAKI Gallery: Phantom Emotion

This line of artwork features various landscapes where Tada manipulates time by using aging techniques. Through this, we get a sense of the eternality and temporality of the human world. This intensifies the boundary between the two, creating the theme of existence in his art.

Keisuke Tada

Born in Aichi, Tada received his BFA and MFA in oil painting from the Aichi University of Arts in 2010 and 2012. Intrigued by sensory experiences that come from games and other virtual worlds, Tada creates art exploring the boundary between reality and fiction.
