KIWL Go Go 55 Charity Run

KIWL is pleased to announce the ‘Go-Go Charity Virtual Run 2021’ its annual running event to support YouMeWe NPO. This year’s primary sponsors are IHG® Hotels & Resorts and BMW Japan Corp. and our other prize sponsors are 76 Lubricants and Ecomarathon. There are some fantastic prizes; overnight stays at luxury hotels, driving experiences, free entry to running events and many more. Everyone can win!
YouMeWe educates children living in care in Japan, giving them life skills for a better start in adult life. KIWL is passionate about engaging in sports to help disadvantaged children in Japan. Our credo is “Get Fit and Give Back” – we hope you’ll do the same!
Since 2017, the Go-Go charity run is held every November along the Arakawa and Irumagawa rivers, finishing at Saitama Ikujiin, one of the care homes that benefits from KIWL’s fundraising where we meet the kids we help.
However in 2020 we pivoted to a virtual event in light of COVID where 90 runners (our largest number ever, including participants from Cambodia and the U.K), raised ¥538,000 contributing to the event’s lifetime total of ¥2,688,000. The 2021 event is the same, simply run (or walk) at least 55kms in the month of November and record your progress with Strava.
