Get ready for an electrifying weekend in Tokyo as MUTEK.JP returns for its 9th edition from Friday, November 22 to Sunday, November 24, 2024! This celebrated festival of electronic music and digital art will unfold across two iconic venues—Spotify O-EAST and WOMB—in the heart of Shibuya.
Under the exciting theme of “exploring the evolving relationship between music and technology at the forefront of sonic innovation,” MUTEK.JP 2024 promises a cutting-edge showcase of experimental audio-visual performances, blending artistic creativity with the latest in technology.
This year’s lineup features over 25 acclaimed artists from around the world, including electronic music trailblazer Caterina Barbieri, the extreme art collective VMO a.k.a Violent Magic Orchestra, visionary electro-acoustic artist Kara-Lis Coverdale, alongside Grand River, Maher Daniel, Sapphire Slows, Tasha, Risa Taniguchi, Kaito (aka Hiroshi Watanabe), Masayoshi Fujita, and more.
In addition to the music performances, the festival will expand into media arts with conferences and exhibitions at Shibuya Hikarie Hall B, with more details to be revealed soon.
MUTEK.JP 2024 is presented as part of the JAPAN CULTURAL EXPO 2.0, supported by Tokyu Corporation, Shibuya Hikarie, and JOHNNIE WALKER BLUE LABEL. Early bird tickets are available for ¥20,000 from September 24 to October 27, 2024, granting access to all events at both venues. After October 28, the price increases to ¥25,000—don’t miss out, as tickets are limited!
