Sakura Kamon Art at The Peninsula Tokyo

Mar 01, 2026 at 12:00am ~ Apr 30, 2026 at 12:00am

To celebrate the arrival of the cherished Sakura (cherry blossoms) this year, The Peninsula Tokyo’s iconic Lobby will once again feature an awe-inspiring Kamon art installation titled, “The Peninsula Tokyo + Sakura + Art” crafted in collaboration with the renowned father-and-son Kamon artist duo, Mr. Shoryu Hatoba and Mr. Yoho Hatoba.

Standing 7.6m high and 11.2m wide, this magnificent artwork is printed on 112 strips of traditional Japanese washi paper. The installation blends time-honored artistic heritage with modern digital craftsmanship to reimagine the hotel’s emblem, “P”, as a sakura motif.

Each spring, Japan marks the arrival of Sakura with a celebration unlike any other natural phenomenon. The fleeting beauty of the cherry blossom holds deep cultural significance, symbolizing the transient nature of life. Step into the Peninsula Tokyo to witness their embrace and celebration of the Sakura spirit, and immerse yourself in the magic of spring.
