Seven Lucky Gods Pilgrimage
Jan 01, 2026 at 9:00am ~ Jan 10, 2026 at 5:00pm
Every New Year, the Shichifukujin Meguri invites visitors to embark on a spiritual stroll through Tokyo — or other Japanese cities — visiting a series of shrines and temples dedicated to the Seven Lucky Gods. Each stop honours one of these deities, believed to bring blessings such as prosperity, health, longevity, good fortune, and artistic inspiration.
Many participants carry a goshuin (temple stamp) booklet, collecting unique seals from each shrine as keepsakes of their journey. It’s a meaningful, centuries-old tradition that blends culture, faith, and a hopeful wish for blessings in the year ahead.
