More than 50 years after their debut, Sparks continue to command cult devotion worldwide. Formed by brothers Ron and Russell Mael, the duo has spent decades crafting a sound that shifts effortlessly between glam, power pop, electro, dance pop and chamber pop while remaining unmistakably their own. Renewed attention from Edgar Wright’s documentary The Sparks Brothers and a UK chart-topping run with their latest album Mad! has only expanded their influence. Following sold-out Tokyo shows in the past, Sparks now return to Japan for a special co-headlining performance with Cornelius, marking a rare meeting of pop innovators.
