The Shamisenists Listening Event
Nov 12, 2022 at 1:00pm ~ Nov 12, 2022 at 4:00pm
The Shamisenists is a unique formation of two shamisen players and a drummer. The Shamisenists Listening Event will be held at the RITTOR BASE in Ochanomizu this November 12th. Celebrating an upcoming album that they will release at the end of the year, produced by LÄ-PPISCH bassist, Tatsu.
Shamisen is a traditional Japanese instrument consisting of three strings and uses an unusual shaped pick that one may find similar to a paint scraper called the bachi. The shamisen produces a clear, naturally loud sound when a player “plucks” the strings with the bachi.
Everyone is welcomed to come and listen to the unprecedented combination of the one of a kind shamisen sound and modern rock instruments in high quality at the RITTOR BASE. Visitors will also receive a special postcard on the day of the event.
